Overview

Responsibilities

• Student Acquisition and Onboarding (B2C Sales):
• Proactively identify and engage prospective students interested in studying abroad, educating them on Ije’s co-financing model and student support services.
• Manage the end-to-end sales and onboarding journey for students, from initial inquiry through to application submission and loan approval readiness.
• Focus acquisition efforts on core high-potential segments, including parents planning for their children's studies and recent graduates seeking Master's degrees in Europe.
• Represent Ije at online and in-person educational events to generate qualified leads.
• Lenders (Capital Mobilisation):
• Assist the management team in identifying, approaching, and securing new individual lenders (investors) to participate in Ije’s debt financing pool.
• Engage with individuals and groups to mobilise deposits and funds that will contribute to the student crowdfunding campaigns and overall loan capital.
• Clearly articulate Ije’s strong portfolio quality and profitability to potential lenders to secure their participation.
• Pipeline Management:
• Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and student/lender pipelines using CRM tools (or internal systems).
• Work closely with the Operations team to ensure a seamless hand-off once a student is ready for final disbursement.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of professional experience in a direct sales, business development, or customer acquisition role.
• Proven ability to meet and exceed monthly sales or acquisition targets.
• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain financial and educational products.
• Experience in the financial services, EdTech, or international education counselling sector is a significant advantage.
• Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, autonomous startup environment.
