Welcome to CareerWorkFlux! These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, platform, mobile app, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using CareerWorkFlux, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Service.

1. Definitions

  • “CareerWorkFlux”, “we,” “us,” or “our” refers to the owner and operator of the Service.

  • “User,” “you,” or “your” means any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Service, whether as a Task Seeker, Tasker (freelancer), business, or otherwise.

  • “Task Seeker” refers to a User who posts gigs or requests services.

  • “Tasker” refers to a User who offers and completes gigs or services.

  • “Content” means any text, images, graphics, video, data, or other materials submitted, posted, or displayed via the Service.

2. Eligibility & Account Registration

  1. You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts.

  2. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date.

  3. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

3. Use of the Service

  1. Task Posting & Acceptance

    • Task Seekers may post gig requests, including scope, budget, and timeline.

    • Taskers may browse, bid on, or accept posted gigs.

  2. Payment & Fees

    • All payments are processed through our secure escrow system.

    • CareerWorkFlux charges a service fee (a percentage of the gig value) on every completed transaction, as disclosed in our Fee Schedule.

    • Task Seekers fund the escrow account at the time of task acceptance; funds are released to the Tasker upon confirmation of task completion.

  3. Ratings & Reviews

    • After each gig, both parties may rate and review one another.

    • You agree not to manipulate ratings or post false, misleading, or defamatory reviews.

4. Content & Intellectual Property

  1. You retain ownership of the Content you submit.

  2. By posting Content, you grant CareerWorkFlux a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and display such Content for the purposes of operating, promoting, and improving the Service.

  3. You warrant that you have all rights necessary to grant this license and that your Content does not infringe any third-party rights.

5. Prohibited Conduct

By using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Post or transmit any unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or infringing Content.

  • Harass, abuse, or harm another person.

  • Circumvent our payment system or fees.

  • Attempt to impersonate another person or entity.

  • Use the Service for any form of pyramid scheme or illegal solicitation.

6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

  1. No Endorsement

    • CareerWorkFlux does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of gigs, Taskers, or Content.

  2. Disclaimers

    • The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

  3. Limitation of Liability

    • To the maximum extent permitted by law, CareerWorkFlux and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold CareerWorkFlux and its officers, directors, employees, and agents harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

8. Termination

  1. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause, and without notice.

  2. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, but all provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., intellectual property, indemnification, disclaimers) will remain in effect.

9. Modifications to Terms

CareerWorkFlux may modify these Terms at any time. We will post the revised Terms with a “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  1. These Terms and any dispute arising from them will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

  2. Any dispute not resolved amicably shall be submitted to the competent courts in Lagos, Nigeria.
