We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Contracts Coordinator

What’s the role

  • The Contract Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless lifecycle management of contracts for Shell Nigeria Gas (SNG).
  • This role works closely with the CP lead and is responsible for end-to-end post-award contract management.
  • It also serves as the Contract Holder for critical contracts (Incl. key service contracts).
  • The position is critical to delivering SNG’s operational, safety, and commercial objectives while safeguarding the company from contractual, financial, operational, and legal risks.

What you’ll be doing

  • Act as the primary liaison between the business and suppliers for all contractual matters.
  • Act as the official Contract Holder for critical contracts (including key service contracts).
  • Manage and monitor contract performance, including compliance with scope, deliverables, timelines, cost control, and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate and chair Business Performance Reviews (BPRs) for all critical SNG contracts to track KPIs, resolve disputes, and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Ensure expired contract close-outs are performed with proper documentation, lessons learned, and asset/material reconciliation.
  • Guarantee that all high-risk contracts have robust HSE plans in place and are being actively implemented.
  • Monitor supplier compliance with contractual, regulatory, and ethical requirements, escalating issues where necessary.
  • Process variations, extensions, amendments, and change orders in compliance with governance procedures.
  • Drive cost savings initiatives and value improvements through supplier engagement and strategic contract management.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues impacting contract delivery.
  • Support the pre-award process.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, Law, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CIPS, ICM, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in contracts management, preferably within the oil & gas or energy sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in pre- and post-award contract processes, strategic sourcing, and supplier management.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws, procurement governance, and HSE regulations.
  • Proven track record in managing service contracts and mitigating co-employment or legal risks.

2.) Principal Electrical Engineer

What’s the role

  • The Principal Electrical Engineer is responsible for delivering and successfully manage the electrical discipline scope in the engineering, procurement, fabrication, and installation / construction and brownfield modification of all facilities.
  • The role is for Nigerian nationals only.

What you’ll be doing

  • Drive the implementation of electrical power systems requirements in the design, fabrication, testing, installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of HI Project. Ensure the final products delivered meet the electrical engineering requirements as well as the project scope of work and specifications.
  • Set up and manage appropriate systems required to assure integrity of the electrical aspects of projects.
  • Provide electrical engineering support and steer for all electrical engineering deliverables throughout project phases – Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication/Construction, Commissioning, and handover to Operations.
  • Provide integrated assurance as Accountable Technical Authority for Discipline Controls and Assurance Framework (DCAF), Project Controls and Assurance Plan (PCAP) deliverables and facilitate incorporation of discipline inputs by Responsible Technical Authorities, thereby ensuring project delivery of affordable and competitive electrical scope as well as compliance with a risk-based DCAF application.
  • Drive the equipment selection and development of electrical discipline management strategy.
  • Contribute to the development of fit-for-purpose quality plan and Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), including materials management procedure for the project.
  • Drive the identification and lateral application of electrical discipline-related learnings.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching for less experienced staff.
  • Contribute to the management of change process to ensure technical integrity, efficiency, and safety of facilities as Lead Electrical Technical Authority on HI Project.
  • Ensure quality discipline input to key review milestones such as HAZOP, SAFOP, PSUA, etc.
  • Provide authentic and visible leadership in the areas of HSSE, diversity, interpersonal and technical skills development, and cost leadership.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the oil & gas industry.
  • Extensive working experience in a project or asset environment.
  • Knowledge of DEPs, industry standards, and electrical engineering regulations.
  • COREN registered Electrical Engineer.
  • Expertise in power generation and distribution systems, including solar/wind hybrid (offshore) and up to 33kV (onshore).
  • Proven experience in delivering major deepwater greenfield or brownfield projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of the use of EFAs, Discipline Controls and Assurance Framework, and Technical Authority System.
  • Self-motivated, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Comfortable working in global, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Track record of driving continuous improvement and managing change.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Familiar with project challenges in Shallow Water/Deepwater Nigeria or similar region.
