1.) Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) Specialist (Triconex)

Job Description
- SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for a PLC Specialist (Triconex) to join its workforce in Nigeria.
Responsibilities
- Direct responsibility for the maintenance, operation and configuration of the hardware and software of the Akpo Safety Instrumented System (Schneider Electric Triconex System) subsystem of the Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS).
- Partial responsibility for the Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) and associated devices of all Packages within the AKPO Industrial Information System (SII).
- Maintain, operate and perform routine tasks on the Process Safety System (PSS), Fire and Gas System (FGS) and Emergency Shutdown System (ESD) of the Triconex Safety Instrumented System.
- Apply and manage maintenance inhibitions in the systems as requested, directed and controlled by COMPANY rules and procedures. Register and maintain all such inhibitions on the AKPO Inhibition Tool database as par COMPANY rules.
- Prepare with the ICSS Adminstrator preventive and corrective actions and modifications of the Control Systems under his responsibility.
- Manage and document in technical reports, interventions using the CMIMS and work packs provided by the planning team.
- Follow up the parameter values and alarms in the concerned systems under his responsibility and perform trouble shooting if required.
- Maintain an accurate and auditable log of all system faults and inhibits (Short term and long term).
- Identify, in the preparatory stage of maintenance works, any sensitive operation and ensure that a proper assessment of the risks involved is carried out beforehand.
- Review and assure that all Software Modifications and corrective actions are validated by COMPANY and all impacted documentations are updated after implementation.
Profile
- Knowledge of the oil and gas treatment process, installations and equipment.
- Advanced knowledge and skill in Schneider’s Triconex Safety Instrumented Systems.
- Knowledge of general instrumentation concepts, field devices (sensors and final elements), instrument loops, etc.
- Awareness of Emerson’s DeltaV Process Control System, Siemens’ SIMATIC Industrial Automation Systems and Allen Bradley’s ControlLogix System is an added advantage.
Required Authorisations
The holder of this position must have the following qualifications:
- Minimum level of experience required: 6 years or more
- 6 years’ experience in the field of Control and Safety Systems and a minimum of 3 years as a Specialist in Control and Safety systems in the Oil and Gas / Petrochemical industry.
- Awareness of SAP CMIMS or similar.
- Awareness of Operator Training Simulators.
- Safety Instrumented Systems certificate.

2.) Process Operations Field Assessor

- In order to participate to our growth of Sub-Saharan Africa Business Unit, we are looking for a Process Operations Field who will:
- Assess client personnels performance through examination and observation of task execution.
- Assist by assessing against a planned program and developing a Training Needs Analysis (TNA).
- Be partly responsible for Training/ Mentoring the personnel both in the Training center and or the field when suitable once the TNA is agreed upon.
- The training and practical mentoring will give effective knowledge and skills transfer ensuring personnel are fully competent.
Function:
- The On-the-Job Field Assessor will deliver the TNA, devise, develop and deliver the training modules and manage the various resources required to meet the stated objectives of the training program.
- This position is located OFFSHORE in ROTATIONAL MODE 4*4.
Profile
- A seasoned technical professional with a minimum of 20 years with an Oil & Gas, multi-national Operator or Service Company.
- Worked as a responsible person in Process Operations (minimum Supervisory level) with a minimum of 5 years active training experience in Process Operations up to Engineering Level.
- The Process Operations Field Assessor will have the following attributes, training and qualifications:

3.) HVAC Senior Technician

Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC equipment including chillers, air handling units, compressors, ductwork, and control systems.
- Diagnose faults and implement timely repairs of HVAC systems across accommodation modules, control rooms, equipment rooms, and technical areas.
- Maintain refrigerant systems in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with OEM standards, maintenance plans, and HSE procedures.
- Monitor HVAC system performance and propose continuous improvement actions for reliability and energy efficiency.
- Lead or support HVAC interventions during shutdowns or major overhauls.
- Supervise junior technicians and ensure quality workmanship during maintenance activities.
- Prepare technical reports, work orders, and job feedback for CMMS.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (electrical, mechanical, instrumentation) during multi-trade interventions.
Profile
- Technical Diploma (Level 3 or higher) in HVAC, Refrigeration, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC maintenance experience in the oil & gas or industrial sector, including 2+ years in an offshore environment.
- Experience with HVAC systems on FPSOs, platforms, or marine vessels is preferred.
- Valid HVAC certification or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Certification in handling refrigerants (FGAS, EPA Section 608, or equivalent).
- Hands-on knowledge of HVAC fault-finding, ductwork systems, chillers, and controls.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in an offshore environment.
- High safety awareness and strict adherence to HSE policies.
