Job Title: Waiters / Waitress

Location: Victoria Island & Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Objectives

• This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
• The Waiter/Waitress plays a key role in maintaining guest satisfaction, handling requests, and supporting the overall restaurant operation.

Key Tasks

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Present menus, make recommendations and answer questions about menu items.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar.
• Serve food and drinks promptly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy.
• Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
• Clear tables, reset for new guests and maintain cleanliness in the dining area.
• Process customer payments, and handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Assist in setting up and organizing dining areas before and after service.
• Communicate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow.
• Handle special requests, dietary restrictions, and modifications professionally.
• Follow restaurant policies, health, and safety regulations at all times.
• Upsell menu items and promotions to maximize restaurant revenue.
• Maintain a positive and team-oriented attitude during service hours.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as a waiter/waitress or in customer service is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including menu items and pairings.
• Familiarity with POS systems and handling transactions.
• Understanding of hygiene, safety, and customer service best practices.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
