We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Product Officer, Liabilities

Job Description
Business Development and Financial performance:

  • Assist with the development of segment specific products and services in conjunction with the segment heads to drive Personal Banking business.
  • Constantly monitor performance of PB liability products to ensure profitability and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies for converting prospects to profitable customer relationships.
  • Prepare market research report showing competitive edge of Ecobank, in terms of product pricing, product/service offerings, customer perception, peer comparison (at least 3 PB focused Banks) as well as recommended strategies.
  • Liaise with other support units such as technology, payment, marketing, operations etc. to drive implementation of the communicated strategic goals and objectives for the team.
  • Supports the front-line sales staff for effective selling of the bank’s products and services.

Loyalty Management:

  • Identify and sign-up/Renew Lifestyle benefits partners for Personal Banking customers.
  • Ensure adequate spread and flavour in our bouquet of loyalty packages.
  • Drive usage/patronage of loyalty schemes by PB customers
  • Maintain close and cordial relationship with loyalty partners.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of all customer service issues relating to loyalty reward schemes.
  • Track and provide periodic reports on Life-style partner activity level and propose modification to contracts where appropriate.

Customer Excellence:

  • Participate in customer focused events organized by Ecobank such as Market storms, customer forums, mystery shopping etc. Draft report on same making recommendations where necessary.
  • In collaboration with CEX team, drive the execution of solutions addressing Complaint Root-cause analysis outcome.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of all PB customer complaints and provide feedback within 48/72hrs.

People management:

  • Work with the analytics team and consumer banking sales force to achieve the overall strategic objectives of CCB.

Process, control, and operational performance:

  • Implement process of on boarding new Personal Banking customers. Monitor and track to ensure prompt and proper on boarding of every new Personal Banking customer across the Bank in line with the process.
  • Drive strategies to reduce customer attrition, especially within the first 90days.
  • Ensure full adherence to Operational Risk and Compliance guidelines across the Personal Banking business function e.g., KYC and anti-money laundering measures.
  • Any other duties/functions given by the TL CCB Liability Products and Head, CCB Products & Analytics.

Strategic Initiatives:

  • Think strategically – seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives to develop and improve PB business.
  • Develop unique promotions and campaigns to win new relationships and retain existing customers

Experience & Qualification

  • Minimum of 2nd class lower in first degree (MBA, MSC, MA, ML and/or Professional Qualifications may be needed.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years working experience in financial services and the banking industry with specific responsibility for relationship management, product development and reviews

2.) Head Office Internal Control Officer

The Officer, Head Office Control position will be responsible for working cross-functionally to:

  • Develop and implement internal control policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Conduct regular assessments of the bank’s internal control systems to identify weaknesses, gaps, or non- compliance issues.
  • Perform risk assessments to identify potential areas of risk and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Review and evaluate financial transactions, processes, and documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and know your customer (KYC) regulations to prevent financial crimes.

3.) Head, Credit Risk Management / Chief Credit Officer

Job Description
Business and Financial performance:

  • Ensure unit’s budget is not exceeded and the bank assets are well protected as much as possible
  • Ensure NPL of Bank loan portfolio remains within acceptable threshold
  • Review and approve credit requests.
  • Ensure that Credit Applications (CAs and Cable CAs) meet the minimum standard requirement.
  • Ensure the credit request is structured in line with the Bank’s Credit Policy and complies with the CBN guidelines.
  • Ensure all identified risks are properly and adequately mitigated
  • Review and approve new product papers and other bank credit related products.
  • Participate in TMC / RAC target market preparation for the Corporate Banking/Consumer & Commercial Banking and Product Papers.
  • Review Obligor Risk Ratings and Financial Risk Ratings to ensure that they are appropriately derived by ensuring completeness and accuracy of information used to populate the various cells in Moody’s Credit Lens rating model.
  • Work with Credit Officers in the development of appropriate Risk Assets Acceptance Criteria (RAAC) to support business development and to adequately safeguard the Bank’s risk assets.

Customer Excellence:

  • Attend calls and customer visitation with the Relationship Management team.

  • Motivate, share ideas and provide on-the-job training for Credit Analysis.

Leadership and people management:

  • Train the relationship managers and credit officers of the bank.

Process, control and operational performance:

  • Defines for the team which business relationship is appropriate with other business units.
  • Drives business effectiveness with a balance between external customer relations and the bank’s need for risk management in mind.
  • Review the Bank’s credit procedures and make recommendations for improvement on continuous basis in line with the changes in business outlook.
  • Review the portfolio on periodic basis and make recommendation for improvement in the areas of asset quality, product concentration, obligor concentration, industry / sector concentration, collateral adequacy, taking adequate provisioning in line with the Ecobank Group credit policy and Central Bank of Nigeria’s prudential guideline in addition to other tasks as may be required.
  • Ensure credit approval process comply with Ecobank Group credit policy.

Strategic initiatives:

  • Study and analyse on a continuous basis, the political, socio-economic terrain and use results therein to make recommendation on the portfolio-mix products by sectors and business segment.
  • Set the overall credit risk strategy, risk appetite and risk capacity for the affiliate.
  • Define the portfolio strategy and risk acceptance criteria for the Bank.

Job Description

  • Develop and Implement strategies with the team to drive the growth of Mortgage, Cash backed Loans and Alliances .
  • Work closely with the Sales and Distribution team to create product awareness
  • Going on joint calls with the SBUs to sell Mortgage Loans.
  • Assist the Sales and Distribution team through designing and developing marketing tactics and actions to achieve financial objectives.
  • Training of RMs, ROs and other Client Engagement personnel/Agents in all the regions as well as Contact Centre from time to time to improve and update product knowledge.

  • Working with reputable Vendors and developers to drive Mortgage sales. Ensuring that every necessary step is taken to improve the quality of credits for approval within the risk appetite of the Bank.
  • Liaising with the Product Champion and sales Officers on credit related issues for further review
  • Review of approved valuer list for enlistment and/or delisting.
  • Provide support for all initiatives/activities to drive up product sales and prevent/wind down on PDOs.
  • Tracking of collection activities on Stage 2 and 3 to ensure reduction in achieved.
  • Working closely with Remedial management team to ensure recovery and collection on Stage 2 and 3 is achieved on Secured Loan Products.
  • Engagement with auto dealers, developers for business development and partnerships.

Experience & Qualification
